HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MAMAS!!!

I want to take a moment to wish the two most important and influential women in my life a very, VERY Happy Birthday!  It still amazes me how much, in both action and thought, these two beautiful ladies are alike. They act alike, think alike, and even roll the paper cover from their straws into a tiny ball and nervously play with it alike! So, I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that they were born only three days apart. Mama Lucas' birthday was last Friday, August 31st and Mama Manson's birthday is today, September 3rd. Lucky for us, Mama Manson is spending her birthday in Virginia with the Lucas clan! She flew in last week to help mom and I plan, shop, and craft for Mike and I's "Big" wedding next March.

My mom is my best friend. I could not ask for a better role model, parent, friend, or confidant. She has always been there for me through thick and thin and continues to be a huge (if not the biggest) support factor for me while Mike is gone. She truly is a beautiful person inside and out and I would not be who I am today without her.

Marrying Mike was the smartest decision I've ever made for many MANY reasons, but one of the biggest is his family. I not only fell in love with Mike, but I also fell hard and fast for his parents, sister, and grandparents. It's impossible not to! They are some of the sweetest, most loving and caring people you will ever meet. It's easy to see why Mike turned out so well when you meet his mama. Ms. Cami is not only beautiful, funny, and an amazingly talented "crafter" but she would do anything for her kids. Cami bends over backwards to make sure that everyone else feels comfortable, loved, and taken care...even when she's visiting another person's home (*cough* trying to do the dishes and serve my parents and I drinks at MY PARENTS HOUSE *cough cough*). Seriously though, I am so thankful to have married into such a wonderful family. I could not ask for a better mother-in-law. My only wish is that we all lived closer so that we could do this more often!

OMg! Cami is in heaven. "Mike....she's not coming home!" So happy you are spoiling her like she deserves. She is the best.
And belated Happy Birthday wishes to your mother, too. You are just the luckiest girl I know, realizing what family means.

Thank you for making my time in VA so memorable. It was wonderful to be included in your mom's birthday celebration and then to wake up on my birthday to a yummy cake in the oven and a special breakfast (that was amazing by the way) a nice surprise. You are a very special young lady and are one of the most thoughtful people I know. We feel so blessed to have you and your family connected to ours.
I noticed that you did not say anything in the blog about the faucet someone broke (*cough, cough*)
